Berlin Attractions -- Alte Nationalgalerie


Love museums and paintings?? Berlin’s Alte Nationalgaler I the place for you. It has a lot of 19th century art and sculpture. It is located on the famous island you might have heard of called Museumsinsel island. It has 3 floors of exhibits. The major attractions are works from great painters, and sculptors. These include Jakob Philipp Hackert’s landscapes, Anton Graff’s portraits and a collection by German artists working in Rome and other places. There are also other impressive paintings by Manet, Monet, and Rodin. And at the top of the list, sculptures of Johann Gottfried Schadow, Berthel Thorwaldsen, Reinhold Begas and Schinkel

Berlin Attractions -- Alexanderplatz



If you visit Germany you have to visit Alexanderplatz in Berlin. It is the middle of a very busy place as you call Berlin. Mostly a cattle sale and military parade grounds. During the World War 2 it was heavily bombed. After that it was remade and named Alexanderplatz. It is a major place for transport system consisting of underground trains and trams. Trams is the major transport source in Alexanderplatz . It brings almost half million people through the place daily making it the most visited place in Berlin. Most buildings where destroyed during the war but some still stand. The Centrum department store whose name is now changed to Kaufhof, World clock and also the teachers building.
